Series consists of correspondence, postcards, newspaper clippings, and a plan from Ernest Niehoff pertaining to the invention, construction, patents, and testing of an “air bag” used to raise sunken ships. Also pertains to Henry T. d’Entremont’s share of profits for paying part of the research expenses for this invention. Series also contains letters from Mason, Fenwick and Lawrence – Patent Attorneys – pertaining to the same. In addition, some correspondence refers to another of Ernest Niehoff’s inventions – the “columbian egg”. Also included is a letter from Mr. Niehoff concerning Henry’s marriage.
